About the artist....

I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of 10, my family moved to New Jersey where we resided for three years and then to South Florida where I continue to live today with my wife and 3 children. I attended college at the University of Florida and than went onto law school after which, I practice law for 25 years. While I enjoyed practicing law.  I always knew it was never my passion and there was something missing, an unfulfilled void.

One evening, after dinner, my wife and I were walking the streets of downtown Delray. We came upon an art gallery and in the window was an interesting piece of artwork that really resonated with me. I said to my wife, that I thought I could paint that. I’m not sure why I said that, insomuch as I never had an artistic instinct in my entire life other than drawing pencil stick figures in elementary school. My wife looked at me like I was nuts, knowing too I had no artistic inclinations. Needless to say, I was determined to confirm if I was crazy or did I have an untapped talent lurking inside of me.

The next day I went to the art store purchased a canvas and art supplies. I set up a make shift art studio in my garage, downloaded the art work I had seen at the art gallery the day before and proceeded to recreate the inspirational image that put me in front of a canvas with paint brush in hand. When I was finished, I called my wife down to the garage. At first glance she saw me covered in paint from head to toe and began to laugh because it looked as though I just walked though a torrential paint storm. She stood in front of me waiting for the big reveal. I turned the canvas toward her and the look on her face was one of complete astonishment. It was wonderful validation in the moment but was it real? After-all, she was my wife and she would never want to hurt my feelings. I soon summoned a couple of neighbors to my home to ask their thoughts but did not reveal the artist. The feedback-was a resounding two thumbs-up. It was in this moment that I realized I discovered my true passion.     I live and breathe art and beside my family I can’t think of any place I’d rather be then in front of a canvas doing what I love to do!!!!
